How to add or build a custom collection frequency including legal quarter and termly collections

Modified on Mon, 29 Jul at 8:27 PM

Arthur allows a custom rent collection frequency to be set up outside of normal frequencies used in the industry. Either

  1. Import a frequency Arthur has defined such as legal quarter days
  2. Create your own frequency

Import a custom frequency

To set up a bespoke frequency go to preferences >>financial> custom frequencies

Import a frequency Import a pre-created frequency such as English legal quarter (For Scottish quarter days use normal quarter and adjust the dates)

Add a custom frequency

Step 1: Where to create custom frequency:

Go into Financials -> custom frequencies -> add custom frequency

Step 2: creating a custom frequency:

Click add custom frequency -> then you will be prompted to name your custom frequency for this example I will be creating it based on calendar months and will be creating a student frequency:

The schedule is based on calendar, the first section is the month. This is where you will select which month and day you want the frequency to be triggered on. For this example I have done January, May, September and December the 1st. You then have the amount multiplier. This can be used when you are creating recurring charges for example £500 frequency, if for May you put the multiplier to x2 it will take the £500 and x2 to trigger a invoice for £1000 for that period.
