How to "Remove and Redo" in Xero

Modified on Wed, 7 Aug at 2:32 PM

In this scenario the user has incorrectly matched money to the wrong invoice in Xero and synchronized that with Arthur, producing two problems.

  1. An incorrect allocation of a receipt to an invoice in Xero
  2. An incorrect receipt being created to Arthur against the incorrect tenant.

The process of removing and redoing as explained below, is also relevant if you have reconciled the wrong receipt with the wrong transaction.

Step 1:

Find the transaction in Xero by first going to your Dashboard and selecting you relevant Bank.

Step 2:

Then click on the bank statement tab, which will show all bank lines - reconciled and unreconciled.

Click into the bank line you reconciled/matched incorrectly eg £850 below on 1st of july.

You can the click on 'remove and redo' below, which will unreconcile and void the payments appearing on the right hand side on both Arthur and xero.

Step 3:

Once you have clicked "Remove and Redo". Run the Arthur-xero sync, which will un-allocate and void the incorrect receipt in Arthur. You can then go back to the rec screen to re-match the invoice correctly.
